Our biggest LEGO sets, ranked by piece count

All 15 sets at Brickraft from the most pieces to the fewest, with set numbers, built size, status at LEGO and our price, plus why piece count and shelf size are not the same thing.

Piece count is the first number most collectors compare. It is a fair guide to how long a build will take. It does not tell you how much shelf the finished model needs, or what it costs. This ranking puts all 15 sets we carry side by side, with the piece counts and dimensions LEGO publishes and our current price, so you can compare all three at once.

Pieces and built sizes are LEGO's figures. LEGO gives every dimension as a minimum ("over 24 in. high"), so treat them that way. Prices are ours as of October 23, 2026.

The four sets over 9,000 pieces

The Sagrada Família 21065 leads with 12,060 pieces, and LEGO calls it the largest LEGO building set to date. Its windows have a stained-glass effect, and the model goes together in a realistic sequence. The Eiffel Tower 10307 follows with 10,001 pieces. At over 58.5 inches, it is the tallest set we carry, and LEGO describes it as one of its tallest sets ever. It separates into 4 parts with carry handles, which helps when it has to move. The Titanic 10294 has 9,090 pieces at 1:200 scale. It is built in 3 sections, each with its own display stand, and runs over 53 inches long. The Death Star 75419 has 9,023 pieces and 38 characters: 36 minifigures and 2 droid figures. LEGO calls it the biggest LEGO Star Wars set of all at launch, and notes that it sits on a compact foundation.

More pieces does not mean a bigger model

Piece count and shelf space often point in different directions. The Imperial Star Destroyer 75252 has 4,784 pieces, fewer than half of the Sagrada Família, yet it is over 43 inches long and 26 inches wide. The Venator 75367 is just as long with 5,374. The NASA Artemis Space Launch System 10341 stands over 27.5 inches tall with 3,601 pieces, the same height LEGO gives the Death Star with 9,023. The Technic cars go the other way: 3,599 to 4,104 pieces each, packed into a model about 23 inches long and 5 to 6 inches high, with a piston engine and a gearbox built inside. Before you choose by piece count, measure the shelf.

Most pieces per dollar, at our prices

  • Eiffel Tower: 10,001 pieces for $252.00, about 40 per dollar.
  • Sagrada Família: 12,060 pieces for $320.00, about 38 per dollar.
  • NASA Artemis Space Launch System: 3,601 pieces for $104.00, about 35 per dollar.
  • Titanic: 9,090 pieces for $272.00, about 33 per dollar.
  • Hogwarts Castle: 6,020 pieces for $188.00, about 32 per dollar.

The retired sets sit at the other end of that list. Their reference is the market value of a new, sealed copy, not a LEGO price, so the Imperial Star Destroyer works out at about 9 pieces per dollar and the Ferrari Daytona SP3 at about 16. That is the cost of a set LEGO no longer makes. See all three in retired sets.

The middle and the smaller builds

Between 5,000 and 8,000 pieces sit three display pieces. The Millennium Falcon 75192 has 7,541 pieces, 7 minifigures, a BB-8 droid figure, 2 Porgs and a Mynock. The Hogwarts Castle 71043 has 6,020 pieces and minifigures of the four Hogwarts founders, with a buildable minifigure display stand. The Venator has 5,374 pieces and a Republic Gunship inside its hangar. At the small end, the Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku 11390 has 1,764 pieces and rises from 7 Dragon Balls, and the Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower 76352 has 954 pieces and 6 minifigures on 4 levels. Those two are the quickest builds in the store.
